BRIDGES are neighborhood hubs located in 10 areas throughout Palm Beach County, each operated by a local nonprofit. Community Partners of South Florida operates five of the BRIDGES locations. BRIDGES are gathering places that connect local families to community resources so more children are born healthy, remain free from abuse and neglect, are ready for kindergarten, and have increased access to quality afterschool and summer programs. BRIDGES at Riviera Beach (BRB) supports parents with young children residing within Riviera Beach with the skills and capacities that will increase their family’s quality of life. Its five core functions include outreach, engagement, navigation, coordination of services, and strategic partnerships and alliances. It supports local parents with access to resources, capacity skill-building workshops, parent/child activities, ages and stages questionnaires (ASQ’s), resident leadership opportunities, and parenting support. The BRB director also convenes monthly Early Childhood Leadership meetings, which engage all local stakeholders who aim to increase kindergarten readiness and regular gatherings of local partners.
Who is eligible?
While all residents of Riviera Beach are welcome to BRIDGES at Riviera Beach, parents with young are the primary focus.
