Don’t Miss Our PBC Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Grant Clinics!
We’re pleased to offer two free, 75-minute informative clinics to assist income-eligible residents aged 62 and older and veterans for an annual grant. Note: This Palm Beach County (PBC) funding is only for residents of one-to-two owner-occupied dwelling units.
Suppose you are eligible, great! First, you must go online and register for one of two PBC mandatory virtual orientations. The first session is Tuesday, September 14, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. The final 1.5-hour session is this Thursday, September 16, 2021, from 3-4:00 p.m. Don’t miss your chance.
Don’t wait! Go online NOW to https://survey.pbcgov.com/s3/HED-Registration.
The purpose of attending your choice of one of these two MANDATORY Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation (Virtual) Orientations with PBC is to provide an overview of the online application process, required documents, program description, and step-by-step review of the overall process.
Once you have registered and completed one of the two PBC mandatory county orientations, make a reservation with our Community Partners of South Florida (CPSFL) housing department and come to one of our two remaining free information clinics. Our special CPSFL clinics will be held in The Ted Center at 723 Pinewood Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33407 on Wednesday, 9/15, and Friday, 9/17. The three available clinic times each day are 9 -10:15 a.m., 10:30 - 11:45 a.m., and noon-1:15 p.m.
Visit https://cp-housing.force.com/cphousingcft to sign up today and reserve your spot. We’ll be sure to save you valuable time by walking you through each step of the application process.
Funding through the Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Grant will assist with any substantial rehabilitation needed to correct code violations or incipient items that will become code violations. Funding will also eliminate housing conditions that threaten occupants’ life, health, or safety, connect residents to public utilities, and adapt residences to meet accessibility. It will assist with sewer and water connection fees and costs to install service lines from the meter to the primary residence.
The Palm Beach County grant application opens on September 20 and ends on October 4, 2021.
Once again, you MUST pre-register and attend one of the PBC orientations online no later than 3 p.m. Thursday, 9/16/21. Register directly with the Palm Beach County Department of Housing and Economic Development (DHED) Mortgage and Housing Investments (MHI) Division, State Housing Initiative Partnership (SHIP) Program at https://survey.pbcgov.com/s3/HED-Registration. Once you’ve registered, the county will send you a new link to attend the mandatory orientation. Don’t miss your chance!
