Leadership Update: Jaime-Lee Bradshaw & Scott Hansel
Community Partners of South Florida knows that local impact in Palm Beach County is part of a larger movement to address sustainable development.
We have been inspired by the United Nation’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Like the UN, we are a committed partner in transformation and we are focused on thriving families and revitalizing neighborhoods right here at home in Palm Beach County.
Specifically, our services:
- Engage Youth - We support teens in our neighborhoods by nurturing a sense of purpose, life skills, and an opportunity to volunteer in their community.
- Equip Parents - We teach caregivers positive parenting techniques, equipping them with skills to lead their families through happiness and hardship.
- Transform Mental Health - We have therapists serving residents across PBC as well as embedded in our school system to address rising issues of anxiety, depression, and trauma for children and teens.
- Create Homes - We assist people in securing safe and stable housing. We build affordable housing, teach financial capabilities, and we prepare first-time homebuyers.
- Support Communities - We partner with communities, listen, train, equip and then take a backseat once they are ready to take the wheel.
In this month’s newsletter (read it here), we share highlights from our community services programs that are engaging youth, parents, and others in accomplishing their personal goals as well as strengthening their neighborhoods.
Equitable access is the driving force behind our mission to ‘Change Generations by Changing the Odds.’
We have seen how the power of connecting the community, grassroots networks, and intentional leadership makes real and lasting change. Equity is a cornerstone in our services and we know that communities will thrive only when local voices are heard. Community Partners of South Florida is taking the long road – learning as we go, training our staff and committing ourselves to the values of our Equity Vision Statement.
