Families Explore the Arts Together
Community Partners of South Florida (CPSFL) and the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County teamed up this year to expand the Arts in My Backyard Family (AIMBY) Saturdays program by bringing it into “backyards” across Palm Beach County. The expansion launched in October 2022 and served families in Riviera Beach, Belle Glade, and Pahokee in collaboration with the five BRIDGES neighborhood centers operated by CPSFL.
AIMBY Family Saturdays is an arts-exposure program for families with children searching for interactive family art activities and cultural experiences. Family Saturdays events invite families to discover the arts together as they connect and create memories while acquiring new skills through visual art, dance, nature, theater, and more! Family Saturdays is a free program presented by various arts and cultural organizations and artists in Palm Beach County.
The program provides opportunities for youth and families to engage with the visual and performing arts, along with providing exposure for partner cultural organizations to the education community. AIMBY is the Cultural Council’s signature arts education program and comprises three branches: Family Saturdays, Early Learners and Cultural Expeditions.
“The Cultural Council has been wonderful to partner with this year. It takes a village to raise our kids, and collaborations like this make our whole community stronger.”
- Kenyon Link, VP of Community Services for CPSFL
